Rob joined Fortis in August 2015 as President and brings over 25 years of carrier and agency experience to the business. His primary focus is advancing the agency through organic growth and acquisitions. Fortis has tripled in size under Rob’s direction.

Rob previously served in leadership roles at several companies in the DFW area, notably at Gus Bates Insurance and Investments, CFO; American Hallmark Insurance Services, president; and William Rigg Co., senior vice president, and producer. With Fortis, Rob saw an opportunity “to take a small and struggling insurance agency and transform it into a new and dynamic agency that is 100% committed to providing best in class customer experience through professional insurance expertise, technological innovation, and hard work.”

Rob has a BA in business administration from Baylor and a master’s from Vanderbilt. He is a CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) and has the ARe (Associate in Reinsurance) designation.

Rob’s hobbies include spending time with his wife and two daughters, skiing and fly fishing in the mountains, working outdoors, watching sports (especially the Baylor Bears) and learning new things.
