Mike serves as vice president for Fortis, joining the agency in 2020. His expertise is in middle-market accounts, with a focus on contractors.

Mike brings over 25 years of insurance and risk management experience to the agency. Prior to joining Fortis, Mike enjoyed successful tenures at William Rigg Co., where he began his career in 1994, and Lucien Wright Insurance Services. He came to Fortis to continue focusing on middle-market businesses and has brought extensive knowledge of the contractor space.

Mike grew up in West Fort Worth and attended TCU and graduated from Texas Wesleyan in 1983 with a BBA in Business Management. He played baseball for both schools. He received his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2001.

Outside of work, Mike is involved in many community projects. He is a past executive committee member and chair of the West Area Council for the Fort Worth Chamber and current president of their Texas Tornadoes leads group. He is also a volunteer coach for the First Tee of Fort Worth youth development program. In his spare time, Mike travels throughout Texas to find the best music and food destinations. Mike’s favorite movie is Tombstone.
