John is a senior vice president for Fortis, producing and managing a book of business. John works for his customers, delivering a consistent old-fashioned work ethic that keeps his customers satisfied and with peace of mind. John’s combination of knowledge, experience, and commitment is reassuring to his clients and enables him to meet their expectations. John can handle any need for his clients, whether it be bonds, business insurance, or personal insurance. Many of John’s clients have remained loyal to him for over 30 years.

John, a native of Dallas, graduated from Bishop Dunne in 1974 and immediately went to work for his father, Clyde Delay, who formed Clyde Delay Insurance Agency in 1945. In 1990, John and his father teamed up with Howard Pietsch, forming Alliance Insurance Agency of Dallas. John and Clyde worked together until Clyde’s death in 2006. John joined Fortis in October 2018 when Alliance Insurance Agency was acquired by Fortis.

Outside of work, John is an avid scuba diver. John’s favorite band is Mercy Me.
